NCPA

The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is India’s premier cultural institution.
They needed to refine their brand identity and reintroduce their stable of cultural venues.
We first redefined the typographic logo they’d been using since the 60s. We then incorporated the organisation’s full name into the new branding to give it authority in the brand hierarchy.
We chose the font – Bodoni – because of its suitability across all the NCPA’s marketing. For the sub brands, variations on the same font were used to reflect each venue’s individuality. The result is a suite of classic yet contemporary typographic identities that at once defined and united all the individual venues affiliated with the NCPA.
