Manchester Music Speaks for Visit Manchester
Marketing Manchester is the agency charged with promoting Manchester on a national and international stage. Looking to capitalise on the city’s rich musical heritage – past and present – they devised the ‘Manchester Music Speaks’ podcast series. The podcasts featured the personal highlights of the city from established Manchester musicians such as Guy Garvey, lead singer of Elbow, Peter Hook, bassist with New Order and singer-songwriter Liam Frost.
We were asked to design and build a vibrant, multi-lingual microsite to host their downloadable podcasts along with extra information about the city for visitors. We developed the concepts and shot all the imagery. Not only were we integral to the development and deployment of a new and exciting tourism concept for the City of Manchester, we won a DADI Award (The Drum award for the digital industries) for the work.
