• Job title: Ecommerce Design Manager
• Location: London
• Reports to: Head of Ecommerce
Key responsibilities are as follows;
-
• Responsible for the overall design and aesthetic direction of our E-commerce and M-commerce sites and our online marketing communications.
• Manage and develop a team of two UK designers, and one designer based in Paris.
• Manage external UK freelance copywriters.
• Manage annual copywriting and design budgets.
• Plan resource around key roadmap timescales, seasonal refreshes and ad-hoc requirements.
• Ensure the site consistently supports and enhances our brand experience.
• Work with Group Design to interpret and reflect the seasonal direction of the brand.
• Create, update and maintain our online style guide.
• Create new design templates as site functionality develops, and as the front end requires redesign over time.
• Work with the Customer Experience Manager to design creative concepts for the site enhancement and development roadmap.
• Regularly monitor competitor activity, from a design perspective, and report new developments or innovations back in to the team.
• Ensure site design enhances, rather than compromises, site performance and usability.
• Refine and manage the in-house design team and process – ensure that design requirements are clearly planned and scheduled and signed-off appropriately.
• Work with the Content Manager and Group Marketing to ensure seasonal photo shoots generate appropriate imagery for online use and stretch our capabilities in delivering the best-in-class on-site photography.

Knowledge and Experience

• Minimum 5 years in web or ecommerce design gained client or agency side.
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.

Job Purpose
To support the production and quality of the photography studio for the international E-commerce website. To deliver world class engaging photography and styling within brand guidelines whilst maintaining efficient management processes and reporting. To be the voice of the company at the Studio and the central point of communication between the Multi-channel team, Creative and Photo studio.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
As a Manager the applicant will need to enjoy a proactive hands on approach, be commercially fashion focused and thrive in a fast paced environment, working 3 days a week in the Manchester studio and 2 days in the London head office.
Key responsibilities are as follows;
• Work with the Creative Director to ensure studio photography is in line with the brand, by attending seasonal campaign shoots and liaising on a weekly basis for ongoing trend and style updates. • Manage the relationship with 3rd party Photo studio ensuring styling guidelines are delivered on brand and volume targets are met. • Work with Photo studio to create an ongoing style guide for market leading product photography for both product and still life. • Thorough knowledge of photography and fashion styling jobs with a clear understanding of seasonal trends and a clear commercial and customer focus. • Manage contracts between Image host account and photo studio. • Define and implement photographic tests for product photography to increase customer usability. • Effectively manage the annual studio production budget. • Initiate comprehensive and transparent communication between all photo studio team, external 3rd party suppliers and head office team. • Create effective processes and reporting systems for internal/external deliveries from DC for pick and pack services.Technical and Behavioral Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge and Experience
• 3-5 years+ experience in photography/fashion
• A total understanding of all studio processes

• Previous similar experience is MUST.
• A proven track record of achieving targets.
• Knowledge of the Scene7 platform (desirable but not essential)
• Experience of effectively managing 3rd parties
